Do Not Depart

Many times, when problems arise people quickly turn away from God this is not the thing to do. Job a man in the Old Testament in the book of Job in the Bible was very rich and seemingly he had it made in every aspect in life. But one very important thing he loved and worshiped God. Satan approached God one day in Heaven and said the only reason Job loves you is because all the ways you have given him so much material wealth, family and many other things. He said you take some of his wealth and things that are important to him and you will see how much he loves you. God gave him permission to take some of those things away, but he could not take his life or kill him. Satan took all those things away and guess what Job still worshipped God. He did not depart from loving, honoring and worshipping God. Later God restored many things to him but the most important point is do not leave God in the midst of all those problems. Job chapter 1 verses 1, 2,3 tells of his wealth. Verses 6 through 12 tells of Satan talking to God and what he was allowed to do. verses 14 through 17 tells how Satan took all job’s wealth. Verses 18 and 19 tell of Satan taking all of Job’s children. Verses 20 through 22 tell terrible hurt Job was but in spite of that he did not depart from worshipping God. The whole book of Job makes for interesting study
