A FEW FAMOUS MEN I HAVE KNOWN

Some famous men I have known

No, they are not in headline news or in who’s who’s. My car was overheating, and I stopped at a radiator repair shop, but the owner told me they were busy to come back another time. I noticed an elderly African American man taking the radiator out of a car nearby. He said if I could take it out and leave it, it would be ready tomorrow.  About that time the owner came over and chewed the elderly man out. I have never heard anyone talk to another person that way. The next day I went over and paid the owner. The elderly man helped me install the radiator after hours. I told him I was studying the Bible at a Bible college, and he said he would like to do that, but couldn’t read but was the pastor of a small church, (John 15:16-20, 1 Corinthians 1:26-31). I asked him how he knew what to preach. He said, “I get my granddaughter to read a certain passage of scripture to me from the Bible and I remember it and that is what I preach about”. There will come a day when they are acknowledged and rewarded. It will be when they stand before the Lord Jesus in Heaven and He says, “Well done my good and faithful servant”, (Matthew 25:21, Luke 6:23, Revelation 22:12). I hope to see that elderly man someday in heaven. See you in Church next Sunday. Brother J
