you better be right

We better be right

I love to visit my good friend who worked in the medical profession for over forty years. He had had the opportunity to visit with numerous Priests, Pastors, Bishops, Ministers and others. In those conservations he heard many different points of view on various things but especially about the Bible. In visiting with popple about the Bible we may get different points of view. Somethings are very clear and others are not. And as I heard a very respected and well-known pastor, author and Bible scholar say, “you know there are a few gray areas but not many and certain major teaching or doctrines in the Bible are very clear”.  A few I have come to fully accept and believe and live by. First, there is a Holy Creator God that we will all stand before and give an account of our lives, (2 Timothy 3:16, Matthew 6:33). Second, we all are sinners and have disobeyed God at one time or another, (Romans 3:23, 6:23). God has spoken to us in His Holy Word the Bible, and we are all accountable to do what it says, (Joshua 1:8). Most importantly Jusus came to earth, lived a sinless life, voluntarily gave His life for us, died after much suffering upon the cross for our sins and arose on the third day from the Grave, (Romans 5:8). The one and only our sins can be forgiven, (John 3:16, John 1:12). See you in Church next Sunday Brother J.
